The Division of Banking and Securities charters, licenses, and supervises state-chartered commercial banks (3), mutual savings banks (1), credit unions (1), trust companies (2), bank holding companies (3), small loan offices (1), premium finance offices (29), deferred deposit licensees (28), and BIDCOS (1). In addition to these state-chartered institutions, there are 3 nationally-chartered commercial banks, 1 federal chartered savings bank, 13 federal credit unions, and 1 nationally chartered trust company in Alaska.
