Alaska State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors On February 8, 2024, the State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 36 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations deal with updates to terminology used in various regulations in accordance with implementing statutory changes to AS 08.48 under SB 126 - Chapter 13, SLA 2023 and updating the requirements for the use of digital signatures. The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed, and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on March 19, 2024, and will go into effect on April 18, 2024. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations. The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 250, July 2024 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed, and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on March 18, 2024, and will go into effect on April 17, 2024. As a result, the division no longer mails hardcopy license certificates. The certificates will be located under the “initial application” and “renewal” events in the MY LICENSE account.
