How to Reinstate a Dissolved Entity

If your domestic (Alaskan) entity has an "Involuntarily Dissolved" status and you wish to Reinstate:

  • If the entity was Involuntarily Dissolved less than two years ago it may be possible to Reinstate your entity.

    Please email corporations@alaska.gov and include the following information:
    • the entity's name,
    • the Alaska entity's number,
    • the date of the entity's Involuntary Dissolution (it must be less than two years),
    • a brief statement the entity wants to be reinstated,
    • and put "Reinstate" in the subject line.
    The Corporations Section will respond to your email with the necessary information and forms for the entity to reinstate.
  • If the entity was Involuntarily Dissolved more than two years ago it is no longer possible to Reinstate the entity. Please apply for a new Alaska Entity number by filing new articles of incorporation or organization. Go to Forms & Fees and locate your entity type for the appropriate form.

If your foreign (non-Alaskan) entity has a "Revoked" status and you wish to Reinstate:

Alaska statutes do not provide for foreign entities which have been Revoked to reinstate. Please apply for a new Alaska Entity number by filing new articles of authority or registration. Go to Forms & Fees and locate your entity type for the appropriate form.

If your domestic or foreign entity has a "Voluntarily Dissolved" or "Withdrawn" status and you wish to Reinstate:

Alaska statutes do not provide for Voluntarily Dissolved or Withdrawn entities to reinstate. Please apply for a new Alaska Entity number by filing (if domestic) new articles of incorporation or organization and (if foreign) new articles of authority or registration. Go to Forms & Fees and locate your entity type for the appropriate form.

Before engaging in a business practice regulated under Alaska Statute Title 8 (AS 08) you must obtain a professional license.
