Grants & Funding Programs Community Assistance Program Community Assistance Program, Statutes and Regulations Senate Bill 210 Community Assistance Program and Revenue Sharing Reports The FY24 CAP payments have been finalized, municipalities and communities that are due payments are being distributed. The full FY24 CAP payment will be distributed to the remaining eligible municipalities and communities as they meet program requirements. FY 2025 applications were sent out on January 31, 2024. Deadline for submission is June 1st. Below are online versions of the application: Borough CAP Application City CAP Application Native Village Council CAP Application Non-profit Application Reserve Application In Fiscal Year 2016 the Alaska Legislature passed SB 210, which renamed Community Revenue Sharing (CRS) to The Community Assistance Program (CAP), effective January 1, 2017. New Community Assistance Program regulations were adopted effective December 22, 2017. Please click the link below to review the program statutes and regulations. CAP provides Alaska’s boroughs, cities, and unincorporated communities with funds vital to the delivery of basic public services. CAP funds can be used for any public purpose that have been determined as a priority of the funding recipient.
