Office of International Trade Emily Fairbanks Associate Director The Office of International Trade (OIT) promotes economic development by supporting international trade and investment opportunities that benefit Alaska businesses, workers, and communities. Supports Alaska businesses seeking to enter or expand in international markets Promotes Alaska products and services abroad Coordinates and supports trade missions, trade events, and international delegations Provides guidance and referrals related to export readiness and international business development Encourages foreign direct investment consistent with Alaska’s economic development goals OIT works closely with other state agencies, federal partners, and industry organizations to advance Alaska’s international trade objectives. International Trade Assistance The OIT administers and supports trade-related programs, including the STEP grant which provides financial assistance to eligible Alaska businesses to support international market development activities such as trade missions, trade shows, and export promotion.
