License Reinstatement:

All real estate licenses expire on January 31st of even-numbered years, regardless of when first issued. The only exception is new licenses issued within 90 days of the expiration date. If you have not renewed by January 31, 2020, you must reinstate your license.

To reinstate a lapsed license you are required to submit:

  • A completed Change of License Status application (located in the “Applications and Forms” link)
  • Certificate(s) of completion for 20 hours of continuing education for the 2018-2020 licensing period
  • Verification of current E&O coverage
  • Reinstatement fee of $415 (if license issued before 2/1/2019)
  • Reinstatement fee of $345 (if license issued between 2/1/2019 – 11/2/2019)

If you are a Broker and you did not renew, your license is lapsed and your office will be closed. You will need to reinstate your license AND open a new office.
