Biennial Reports

Specific Instructions:

For Profit Corporations, Professional Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships:
Biennial Reports are due by January 2nd, reports marked after February 1st incur late fee penalties. If you initially filed/registered in an even numbered year the Biennial Report will be due in January of every even numbered year. If you initially filed in an odd numbered year the Biennial Report will be due in January of every odd numbered year. The biennial reporting periods open three months prior to the due date for online or hardcopy filing.

Non Profit Corporations, Cooperatives and Religious Corporations:
Biennial Reports are due by July 2nd, reports post marked after August 1st incur late fee penalties. If you initially filed/registered in an even numbered year the Biennial Report will be due in July of every even numbered year. If you initially filed in an odd numbered year the Biennial Report will be due in July of every odd numbered year. The biennial reporting periods open three months prior to the due date for online or hardcopy filing.

Please select only one of the filing options below (Online or Hardcopy). Please do not duplicate your filing or payment by submitting both online and hardcopy for the same Biennial Report.

Biennial Report Online Filing Instructions:

Online biennial report filings post immediately. Click on the link below to file your Biennial
Report online. This will take you to the Forms and Fees page. Under your entity type select Biennial Report. Follow the instructions for online filing. Repeat the process for each Biennial Report due. We accept Visa and Mastercard.

Biennial Report Hardcopy Filing Instructions:

Click on the link below to file your Biennial Report hardcopy. This will take you to the Forms and Fees page. Under your entity type select Biennial Report. Follow the instructions for hardcopy filing. Repeat the process for each Biennial Report due. Please allow 10 – 15 business days to process your filing once it has been received by the Division.

All Other Corporations Filings:

Registered Agent information cannot be changed on the Biennial Report.  To update or change your Registered Agent information please submit a Statement of Change form. The status of your entity and/or professional license may directly affect your business license.

  • Check the status of your Business License:
    Before engaging in business activity you must obtain a business license. If you have a business license the Corporations Section encourages you to check the status and expiration date to ensure your business license is current. For more information go to the Business Licensing Section.

    Before engaging in a business practice regulated under Alaska Statute Title 8 (AS 08) you must obtain a professional license. If you have a professional license the Corporations Section encourages you to check the status and expiration date to ensure your professional license is current.
