VTNE Examinations

VTNE applicants must be registered and be approved to sit for the exam through the American Associate of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). Visit the American Association of Veterinary State Board's Website for locations and more information.

• Summer 2024 Examination Window: July 15 - August 15, 2024
  The application window is now closed.
• Fall/Winter 2024 Examination Window: November 15 - December 15, 2024
  The application window for the Fall/Winter exam is August 15 - October 15, 2024. All application materials must be received by AAVSB by October 15, 2024.On the job applicants must submit the Veterinary Technician National Examination On-The-Job Training Eligibility Form to AAVSB for approval.
• Spring 2025 Examination Window: March 15 - April 15, 2025
  The application window for the Spring exam is December 15, 2024 - February 15, 2025. All application materials must be received by AAVSB by February 15, 2025. On the job applicants must submit the Veterinary Technician National Examination On-The-Job Training Eligibility Form to AAVSB for approval.

NAVLE Examinations

NAVLE applicants must be registered and approved to sit for the exam through the International Council of Veterinary Assessment (ICVA). Visit the International Council for Veterinary Assessment Website for the latest information.

• Fall/Winter Examination Window: November 4 - December 21, 2024.
  The deadline to apply to take the NAVLE during this fall test window is August 1, 2024. The application window is now open.
• Spring 2025 Examination Window: April 1 - April 26, 2025.
  The deadline to apply to take the NAVLE during this spring test window is February 1, 2025.
