Examinations

The North American Pharmacy Licensing Exam (NAPLEX) and the Multi Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exams (MPJE) are the recognized exams accepted in Alaska. The exam is given throughout the year by computer; Anchorage is the only available exam location in Alaska.

To take an exam, you must first register to do so with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. The Alaska Board of Pharmacy will confirm you are eligible to take the exam, or notify you of the pending application item(s) necessary to become exam-eligible. When eligibility is achieved, the NABP will send you an Authorization to Test (ATT) which explains the logistics and details.
